We think there is something special about the month of October. With the opportunities for crazy costumes and daring décor, Halloween seems to bring out creativity like no other holiday. We think that one event where creativity really shines is at a Trunk-or-Treat!
Walker Smith Body Shop Helps Sweeten Your Trunk After a Snellville Collision
If you’ve never heard of Trunk-or-Treat before, it is an event organized by a church, neighborhood or community group. Families gather in a parking lot and open up their trunks to pass out candy. Not only does it give a more secure environment for families, but it also gives families a chance to interact with each other while the kids are racking up! Of course, with a great vehicle to work with, the event opens the doors (and trunks) for some great decoration ideas!
Many people stick with kid-friendly spooky ideas like spiders, cartoon monsters and jack-o-lanterns, like this one, made out of trash bags, pipes, and some electrical prowess:
We also love this thrifty-fun monster made out of household items and poster board. But, if you are not confined to the traditional Halloween theme, we have found that the possibilities are endless! If you want to give the kids an activity to enjoy – we found this straight-off-the-iPhone-life-size game using balloons, old boxes and a kick ball! Of course, as a Paint and Body shop, we are partial to the Tow Mater and Lightning McQueen in this video:

We also love it when the treat matches the trunk! For example – make your trunk look like a World Series baseball stadium and give out Baby Ruth’s or bags of cracker-jacks. If your Trunk-or-Treat is at a church, we have seen some cute Noah’s Ark decorations, and animal crackers or fruit snacks would be a perfect giveaway, and a healthier alternative to candy.
